HomeEgg April 2020 Community Update

Happy April HomeEgg Friends!

What a completely different world it is from just our March community update. We hope you and your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues are all healthy and hanging in there. As always, we’re grateful for your participation and want to offer a warm welcome to all our new users who joined HomeEgg during March.

A few things to highlight as we head into April:

‘Home’ has come roaring into focus in recent weeks. It’s given us here at HomeEgg pause to reflect on all the great reasons why home is so important to our lives (perhaps in ways we take for granted). So this month we initiated the ‘What Home Means to Me’ drawing challenge. It’s a great exercise to do with the kids or even do yourself. We’ll have be a special price for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place submissions. So, have some fun… give it go.

We have a couple exciting new features releasing next week

1) For those that didn’t make it through all the steps to build you home profile, we have some good news. We’ve streamlined the home profile step-up to 3 simple steps that will fast-track a complete view of your Home Equity position

2) As the HomeEgg community continues to grow, we’ve introduced a new weekly Community Discussions notification that highlights all the social posts for the week. So don’t be shy. Take a few minutes to log in and share what’s happening at your home.

3) Covid-19 has rocked the U.S. real estate markets. But it’s also created an opportunity for many of us to take a hard look at refi opportunities. The stay-at-home orders have also created a window for tackling home improvements projects we’ve been putting off. So to these points:

Keep watch on how your home value and recent sales comparable are trending in the coming months and its effect on your equity position. Most markets are anticipating notable declines in home prices

Check out the “Refinance Planning” graph in your Mortgage page. This will give you good visibility into you’re refi readiness relative to current interest rates

Check out the Home Improvement Project Planning tab in your Home Improvements page. This will show you which home improvements are forecasted to fetch the greatest return on investment (ROI) in 2020.

As we look ahead to May, we hope the worst of today’s uncertainties is behind us. @ HomeEgg were committed as ever to helping you keep a pulse on your home during these challenging times.

Kindest Regards.
